Well since we found out that we will be leaving the country soon, and since Aaron had work off for the remainder of the month, we decided to take a little vacation in February. We went and saw my Grandma Kaye (and I'm so mad at myself for not taking any pictures!) Then we went to Page, Arizona to visit Aaron's family.
Aaron's sister, Kim, and Grandma Elaine both live in Page. This is the house that Aaron was raised in. His Grandma Elaine lives here currently.
Aaron took me on a hike to a canyon called "Horseshoe Bend." He said it was only about 100 yards to get from the car to the canyon. That's a lie! It's about a mile or so each way. We ended up just having to carry little Royce and switching him back and forth between each other when our arms got tired because we left his sling at the house.
The whole purpose of the trip was to see Aaron's family. His sister had a baby boy a week before we had Royce. His name is Johnathan. We were anxious to get the two of them together.
We took them to get their pictures done professionally. They had matching plaid shirts and it turned out really cute. I'd put them up but you know...that's called copyright infringement. They seemed to have a lot of fun with each other. They would lay on their sides and look at each other and coo and squeel. It was really cute.
And it was fun for Royce to meet his Great-grandma Elaine. We don't get to see her often so we were really thankful that we had the time and funds to make the trip.
She must have said something pretty funny. But then again it doesn't take much to make him laugh. We're working on refining his sense of humor. He'll laugh at just about anything. Babies...
It was a great time and a lot of fun getting most of Aaron's family together.
We did go see Aaron's mom and dad but I haven't uploaded any of those pictures yet. I'll make sure to do that for the two or three people that may read my blog!
